PLEXUS ACTIVITIES 1982-2003 with a short pre-history

The Pre-History - In December of 1978, in Rome, at the performance space “Il Cielo”, The Culture Slave Auction Show, a social event organized by some cultural organization of the LIACA (League Italian Alternative Cultural Associations) in which Sandro Dernini, Paola Muzzi, Cristina Torelli, Giovanna Ducrot and others members of these organizations performed the rite to sell themselves as slaves.

   In the spring of 1981, in New York, The Artist in the First Person, a cultural program by the Italian Center for Contemporary Culture of New York University, directed by Sandro Dernini and coproduced with the artists as independent producers.

The History
